This year the fields of paediatric and adult endocrinology are coming together in a new collaboration. The European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) will co-host their first-ever joint Congress on 10–13 May 2025 at the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark. This unique event, with the theme ‘Connecting Endocrinology Across the Life Course’, will unite specialists from across the world to foster collaboration, share knowledge and advance clinical care.

A Landmark Event for the Endocrine Community

The Congress is set to welcome over 6,000 delegates from more than 100 countries, providing a platform for exchanging the latest research and developments in paediatric and adult endocrinology. The event will encourage new perspectives, foster scientific exchanges and offer networking opportunities that will strengthen connections among colleagues who are working across the field of endocrinology at all stages of life.

A Joint Scientific Programme with a Life Course Approach

The Scientific Programme Committee has carefully designed a schedule that caters to both paediatric and adult endocrinologists, with a strong emphasis on transition care and highly relevant interdisciplinary topics. Attendees can also expect a diverse range of sessions including:

  • Plenary lectures from leading global experts
  • Educational and industry symposia delivering the latest advances in the field
  • Award presentations celebrating excellence in endocrine research
  • Meet-the-Expert sessions for in-depth discussions
  • Oral and Rapid Communications showcasing innovative research

The Importance of Lifelong Endocrine Health

ESE President Jérôme Bertherat emphasizes the significance of this joint Congress, stating:
“We wanted to organise this Joint Congress because hormones matter throughout the lifetime, from birth to senescence. This combined activity is important not only for endocrine research and healthcare but also for Policy and Advocacy, particularly concerning endocrine disruptors. When you come to a meeting, you come for science, networking, and to make new friends – and that should be one of the best outcomes of this meeting.”

ESPE President Anita Hokken-Koelega highlights the importance of collaboration:
“We hope this Joint Congress provides inspiration for adult and paediatric endocrinologists to work more closely together, not only in research but also in the transitional care for our patients. We are much stronger when our two societies combine efforts, as demonstrated by the impact of our recent joint projects.”

Celebrating Excellence: The Inaugural Joint Award

A fresh component of the Congress will be the introduction of the Endocrinology Across the Life Course Award, a new joint ESPE-ESE award recognising outstanding contributions to the field. The 2025 award winners from both societies will present their research during the meeting.

Submit Your Research and Be Part of the Conversation

Researchers will  have an opportunity to submit late-breaking abstracts in March. Accepted abstracts will be presented in the onsite poster exhibition, providing a platform for researchers to share their latest findings with a global audience.

Key Deadlines:

  • Early Bird registration deadline: 27 March 2025
  • Standard registration deadline: 24 April 2025
