Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has been a critical tool for people living with diabetes to help manage glucose levels. FLASH-UK is an open-label, multi-centre, randomised study to assess the efficacy of flash glucose monitoring with FreeStyle Libre 2 in adults with sub-optimally controlled type 1 diabetes. We were delighted to speak with Dr Lalantha Leelarathna (Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester, UK) to discuss the FLASH-UK study and also discuss other evidence supporting the use of CGM systems for people living with diabetes.
